Touch is Critical to Interaction
For most of human history, humans have shaped the world through applying forces, pressure, touch on the things around us.
Through millions of years, we’ve developed cells, organs and neural structures to thoroughly monitor these forces.
So it only makes sense for us, designing natural, intuitive interactions for next-generation platforms, that we should be able to touch and feel things with our fingertips in these worlds as well.
Touch is Not Like Vision or Sound
Touch is hard to virtualize properly, because of some basic laws of physics and how we are built biologically. It’s hard to make you feel the full range of touch you need for good interactions in virtual worlds.
This is why we think we need to allow users to interact with real world objects and feel real tactile feedback.
We envision touch binding us to reality
We envision a future where it is exactly due to these reasons that touch will be a key human sense that binds us to reality.
It acts as a binding factor between the virtual and the real.
Ohto has founded several startups. He has a deep interest in people and what they can do collectively.

Felix makes extremely usable tools, whether it’s hardware or software. He is the physical manifestation of the intersection between design and software.

Simon breathes augmented reality. He designs, builds and tests the things we dream of in AR, from user journeys, to custom input devices, and user insights. He possesses a museum’s worth of interactables in his surroundings at all times.

Arttu, makes the versatile software needed to connect smartwatches, rings, headsets and computers together.
Unity and Interaction
Daniel started off with an industrial design background but has spent the last 10 years becoming the the lead developer in countless XR projects. His first headset was the HTC Vive.
Laura has a PhD in mathematics and builds our models with her firm understanding of the underlying concepts in machine learning.
Machine Learning and Software Development
Topi has PhD in computational physics and leads the machine learning team towards robust, generalizable and efficient models.
Juuso works on our latest few-shot gesture models.
Veronica leads our Data-Collection Team to make sure our products work seamlessly for everyone.
Markku Mäkeläinen is an entrepreneur and angel investor previously acting as head of engineering partnerships at facebook.
Miklu was at Jony Ive’s Industrial Design team at Apple for 8 years. He is currently CDO at Band and Olufsen, and is an entrepreneur himself.
Sold The Eye Tribe (eye tracking technology) to Meta and exited Nextmind to Snap. He has 20+ deep tech investments, but a founder at heart
